Huge Thanks to Peter Cummings

Propeller Racing gives a huge thanks to Peter Cummings of Plan2Peak Training. With over 20 hours in the saddle, 400 miles and over 14,000 calories burned, Propeller had an incredible time.

We would also like to thank Clif Bar, Accelerade, Endurox, Nuun, and Saris for providing us with PowerTaps, food and recovery drinks.

The camp was a real joy and Peter was extremely professional. We’ll be back next year for sure.

Recovery Day

Training in Las Vegas has been exciting, challenging and exhausting. Averaging 50 miles per day, we’ve been burning roughly 2,000 calories on each ride. As the camp end approaches, we’ll be closing in on 400 miles for the week.

The first 4 days were extremely stressful on the body, which resulted in a recovery day yesterday. Now that we’ve had some time to rest up, the final 3 days will be nothing short of painful.

More to come.

Propeller Racing is huge in Japan

Team Propeller was attacked by a large group of Japanese tourists while training in the Valley of Fire State Park.

Plan2Peak’s Vegas Camp

This week, the Propeller Race team is attending Peter Cummings, from Plan2Peak, training camp in Las Vegas, NV. Each day consists of intense training, coaching, data analysis and recovery.

The morning starts off with a complete breakfast, vitamins, power file review and route explanation. Then we either ride from the house or load the bikes up and drive to our destination. Peter does an incredible job of explaining the route and what our goal for the day is. Then it’s off for the ride, which typically lasts 50 miles. Afterward, we head home to soak our legs in the cold pool and then relax in the hot tub. Dinner follows and then it’s some TV and games of pool.

The scenery is absolutely incredible and the routes are very challenging. Strong head winds have also played a serious role into our daily routine, making it very difficult to hold a steady pace.

Aleksey is definitely the powerhouse on the trip, so far. It’s been nearly impossible for the team, including the coach, to suck his wheel the whole time. We are definitely looking forward to his TT plans this year.
